IFPSD President attends the Holy See Prayer Service on the vigil of the opening of the 73rd Session of the united Nations General Assembly

IFPSD President Salwa ‘Sally’ Kader participated in the Prayer Service offered and hosted by Bernardito Auza, the Permanent Observer of the Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations ahead of the commencement of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The event, held at the Church of the Holy Family at the United Nations Parish, witnessed meditations by Archbishop Luis Castro Quiroga of Colombia, the former President of the Colombian Bishops Conference and one of the leaders in the Colombian Peace Process. The Secretary General and the President-elect of the 73rd Session of the General Assembly also spoke at the event. This service is held annually for the United Nations personnel, the Diplomatic Community and religious leaders in the New York area. President Kader attends this service annually. She has also worked and partnered with His Excellency Celestino Migliore, former Observer of the Permanent Mission and with the Holy See Mission at large for many years.
